The Difference between pebble and Quartzon

The most common finish for a concrete pool is a pebble finish. Pebble pools are stronger and last longer than other pool sufaces such a s fibreglass, marble sheen, vinyl and paint.

Like standard pebble, Quartzon is made with cement and stone pebbles. But that's where the similarity ends.

Quartzon is so strong

Most standard pebble surfaces are made with single sized aggregate particles.

Quartzon is made with multi-sized quartz particles, ranging from 0.1 to 3.0mm. This give Quartzon a higher density mix, with closer fitting particles and less exposed cement for a rock solid surface.

....and so smooth

When you compare the surface textures of standard pebble and Quartzon, you will notice that the standard pebble has hills and valleys between the pebble particles.

That's why so many people find pebble pools uncomfotable on their skin and many have suffered from cuts and abrasions on their feet.

Quartzon, on the other hand offers a smooth surface that is less aggressive on bathing suits and your precious skin.
